sandals or beaches

Looking for a way to not have to deal with all the drama of planning a wedding and the drunks who will...well we know..lol thinking of going to a sandals or beaches with friends and family that can afford to go ...anyone get married at either...Any thoughts/?

Went to sandles St lucia last year every thing was GREAT
Stayed at the golf and spa for ten days was there starting the first week in feb sunny and 87 every day food was out of this world . My brother was married on the beach "no problem no pressure"

Why you only want to invite those that can afford to go? Nobody on your guest list that you like beyond gifts?

Work_in_progress_08, I ordered, but haven't yet tried, the clogs. My plan was to set them aside for cooler weather and wear thin cotton socks with them (as house shoes only.) That's what I did with a pair of Crocs back when I could find them made in the USA. I like having something that's easy to kick off since I keep my feet elevated when sitting (& don't like to rest shoes on the ottomans.) As for the sandals, I find them comfortable. Amj0517, I think they probably run true to size for average feet. My feet are somewhat deformed, despite surgery on both, and wide, so I order one size larger than the chart indicates and that works fine. BTW, I didn't notice before, but they also have a line under the brand "OKA b" that include some with cute ribbons and flowers. The prices are a little higher than for the original styles, but are still in line with (or less than) similar imported sandals. Here is a link that might be useful: Even more styles

That is a good buy on the Mammoths. I found a Croc Outlet store yesterday at Discover Mills near Atlanta. I got the Beach Croc for $9.99. Got a pair of Disney Crocs for Lucas for $9.99 and a pair of Crocs for Erica. Her's were marked $19.99 but they rang up an extra $5 discount so they were only $14.99. I wanted the Disney ones with the mouse ears for her too but they didn't have her size. I wish I'd had more time in the store but I had to meet DH at the other end of the mall for lunch. Molaki (hawaii) is the only island I know of with no crowd. It only has 6 restaurants. My nephew and his wife stayed 2 weeks there and had a hut with a view of the ocean. I didn't say on th beach because it was rocky and muddy where they were. But they rented a car and found a 3 mile long deserted beach. There are hiking trails, bike paths, transportation to the other islands. I think also ocean excursions. I researched this Island found out it was more like the old Hawaii than the more commercial islands. I would like to go there, but hate the thought of going alone.

no...actually I would rather not even have a shower or a big wedding because I get kind of a weird feeling about people giving me gifts. I do not have the time or the patience to make decisions. My mom just planned a wedding for my step sister and at first thought it was fun..When I told her my plans she said THANK GOD.. I think you were reading to much into my post because I would prefer "no gifts". I have a friend who did this and said it was just a great time. You get married bam you are on your honey moon with your close friends and family. Yes, I would prefer to spend time on my honey moon with others.

We did Sandals Dunns River in Jamaica for our honeymoon and it was so fabulous. We didn't have our wedding there but saw others being married, some alone and others with family present. It looked elegant and romantic and wonderful!! I'd highly recommend Sandals. It's class, luxury, romance and pampering to the nth degree.
