Recommendations for Puerto Rico?

| DH and I are thinking of going to Puerto Rico for a few days this winter. Anyone been there? Any recommendations for lodging? |

| Hi Jlhug. Haven't decided yet, maybe San Juan or Guanica. San Juan would be easier, we could take a direct flight. |

| Wow! What a contrast in destinations. One big city and one of a more rural nature. What do you like to to and are you looking for a place with "local" flavor or a big "destination" type of place? The only comment I can make at before I find out more is that I would rather drive in New York City or Boston than in Puerto Rico and I've lived in NYC. |

| After further research, I've narrowed it down to the Caribe Hilton in San Juan. Do you know if it's any good? |

| If you are looking for city and great dining stay at the Hilton. Its nice and has been remodeled lately. If you are looking for rest and seeing something different, go for Guanica or maybe El Conquistador. El Conquistador is very nice and they have transportation from the Airport. Conquistador is fancy, Copamarina is more simple. It will all depend on your budget. |
