New York New york

Hi,
I would like to know which hotels are best to stay at in New York to be right in the center of ALL the action. We are planning a trip next summer and there are just too many for me to decide. Moderate price range would be great. If not a hotel name at least the street name(s). Thanks a bunch!

I haven't been here, but I noted them from another post for later:

An older hotel that looks to be in good shape. In the past, have
read some good postings on this hotel. Location is very good = a less
that 10 minute walk to Times Square. Two hotels with kitchens you
might consider are the Beacon, 75th and Broadway and the Milburn,
76th just off Broadway. Both are on the upper west side -good
shopping, lots of restauirants, good transportation close by.
The Casablanca is a stunning boutique hotel located at 147 West 43rd.St. in New York City. (212) 869-1212. Continental breakfast is included. (Sounds great!)\\

I agree, stay in Midtown, near times square (about 46 to 60.. sts). Good location, walkable to many sites, close enough to Central Park and not too far for downtown.

We are going to NYC this weekend and staying at Parker Meridian which is at Central Park. It was highly recommended to us. I won't be able to say for sure until next week!
