skiing in new england

I'm hoping to go for February vacation week with my children and another family. Any recommendations for family-friendly ski areas and house/condo rentals in New England?

Thanks!

Here's a URL on the subject: http://home.earthlink.net/~nortonc/ski/

I don't ski, but I know lots of skiers, and they go to Loon and Waterville Valley most often.

I do live near Boston, and Vermont, with excellent skiing, is a long drive.

There are a zillion places to stay, and I'm sure many are great. Here's one I know and like. Condominiums with a good recreation center. Minimum condo ownership is a quarter-share, so they're well-maintained:

Definitely check out Sunday River in Maine......we've skied there during the march break for a few years......just an awesome family oriented spot with fantastic skiing.........

Also look into Sugarloaf (Maine). What a ball for people of all ages.

Of course, I don't think you could go wrong with Killington either. Everything from tot ski school (3 yrs and up) to runs way beyond "average" capability.

Hope that helps!
