Corgimum, the service was fantastic! Unfortunately husband ended up in the ER there shortly after we arrived due to his ticker. However, for the first time ever they brought him back in rhythm with some sort of Mexican ckt drug. We had such good care! Never ever has drugs worked in the states to bring him back around he always needs a cardio version (sp?). We carefully enjoyed the rest of our vacation and husband was so happy not to make any decisions. He has since had an operation to fix his problem and so far so good. We did take out the extra insurance before that trip and was reimbursed. That worked so well I will never travel to another country again without it. Joanie, just do it! Life is short! When my kids were young we could only afford one big trip the whole time to France and England and some mid trips to the Carolinas and mid west. The trips they enjoyed the most though were trips to the Florida Keys on the Gulf side. Those trips were just a few hours south for us though. And I have to say that they were not as much fun for husband who worked so much and had to do the long drive and then go to a NON all inclusive where decisions on where to eat and how to amuse the children were nonstop. Once the kids were grownâ¦we have been doing some traveling as itâÂÂs a piece of cake with two.

We took a fabulous all inclusive to Playa del Carmen, which is about 45 miles south of Cancun. Our kids were 12 and 16, and as long as they stayed together we let them have the run of the resort. It was great because they could play tennis, swim in one of the five pools, snorkel, get something to eat or drink etc. They loved going in and ordering all kinds of 'virgin' drinks -very fancy and delicious. The food was excellent. We also took separate snorkeling trips, swam with the dolphins, etc. Beaches are white sand and the water is truly turquoise. Go to tripadvisor.com and search on Playa del Carmen. You'll get great recommendations for places to stay as well as activities.

The second is that you might need the newest version of quicktime. Thank you for all the comments. We left again this morning at 8:20 to go and watch my nephew play baseball an hour away. We then met my mom and 2 of my sisters and 2 nephews at the park and had chicken at the park and let the kids play.The also brought my baby Hayden back to me. My sis had his hair cut ( it was in his eyes and I gave her the okay) he looks like a big boy now. Of course today and tonight he wouldn't let me out if his sight, I sure missed my little baby ( not so little at 25 pounds at 11 months) Rhiannon declared yesterday that she couldn't be 5 until she had a birthday cake. So my mom made an angel food cake and brought it down so Rhiannon could turn 5:) Growing up my grandma always made us an angel food cake for our birthdays. We have continued the tradition with my mom and my kids and nephews. Stacie who went all day today again and still needs to do laundry

Our family loves Maui. We have been to Hawaii a few times and will go back there again this year. We like to go in August. The weather is beautiful and the prices are lower at that time of year. We stayed on Oahu for a few days the first time so that we could visit Pearl Harbor (an awesome experience) and visit the Polynesian Cultural Center. The Center was interesting and told the history of Hawaii. We went to a Luau there and suggest that you not waste your money on that particular banquet. We then ventured on to Maui and found that we loved it there. The last time we went, we were on Oahu long enough to switch planes to go to Maui. We stayed at the Palms at Wailea on Maui. This condo was not on the water but the beach was about a 5 minute walk away. The condo cost us $1000 for a week for 6 of us. It had two bedrooms and the living room couches came out into beds. The kitchen was very modern and stocked with utensils, pans, etc. We bought groceries at the local groc store. There was a washer and dryer in the condo also. Everything was very clean. (I am a neat freak so this was a big plus) On Maui go see the moon rock scape or whatever they call it. It is lava a they claim it looks like the surface of the moon. It is kinda neat but eerie. You can watch the sunrise from the crater at the top of the island. Very nice. Of course you must take surfing lessons and go snorkeling. We flew to the Big Island to see the active volcanoes. That too is awesome. Lahaina has a luau that is wonderful and a must for a visit to Hawaii. We love it there and will be going again this August.. If you would like any more info please let me know.
