Short Trip with Elderly Mom

| Hi - My mom will be 89 in October. She's in great shape, although pretty dependent upon me socially. I'd like to take her away for a short trip (perhaps 3 days, 2 nights) over the weekend of her birthday.
We live in the Boston area. I don't know where to start to find something that would be that short a period. Anyone have any thoughts?

| how about a night or 2 in nyc and take in a broadway show? or what i call a "sentimental journey" to her birth place if it's close by? in the same vein a highschool/college friend? |
