My granite is a dark brown Giallo. When I was looking for granite, I took along a sample piece of wood painted in the White Dove of my cabinets. When looking very closely at the granite, there are white specks in it. So, I thought it would be fine. Not so! Over all, it looks brown! It competed with the white tone of the cabinets. The crema is more beige than cream but it goes with white and it goes with brown. And, it is a good transition between the two. This is what I am hopng you can achieve. A good transition color in the tile I am not sure if this color will go with your counter. But, you can try a sample. Everyone on here who has the Rixi really loves it.

Citrus groves are sprayed with water and covered in ice to protect against freeze damage. Counter\-intuitively forming ice creates heat. Also a layer of ice will help prevent quick thawing when the sun hits the citrus. A quick change will burst cells (such as scalding on some tree bark). Droplets on plants is another story and this will cause leaf damage. It does help to cover plants. Doing so will trap some heat from the ground and it will keep dew off that might freeze and cause damage. Ice crystals generate around any contamination in any surface water drops form crystals. Even bacteria will cause nucleation. Sick plants freeze more readily. Anything you do to keep off droplets / dew and insulate to conserve soil heat will help. Wind machines can help......they would, but I'm kidding. Tonight's low is predicted to be 17 tonight, but the 8 inches of snow we got yesterday will protect the pips which are just starting to show. But I think the daffodils are goners.....for this year. Jon

kitty How was the stem after you cut it? It may be good idea to take photos of what you doing for future reference (I forget very often too!) And if not sure, posting photos will help to get some helpful tips. "Hoping the black section under the leaves doesn’t spread further, it’s making pretty close contact with the soil." By black section, do you mean the leaf end? In last photo, it looks like just old leaf drying up. But in previous pic there are few and so many at the same time may be rot - I hope I am wrong ! Whenever you repot, make sure plants are not deep inside - Kara mentioned good reasons, and on top of that - it looks better :) Hope your plant makes it, pls. post update.
