Yellowstone National Park camping?

Posted by honugirl (My Page) on

My family of four will be in Yellowstone in early September. Can anyone recommend a campground in the park? How about other lodging within the park? Since I'm so late in planning this, maybe I should look outside the park as well.
Thanks in advance!

found this site...we stayed in the park. did both loops (road) and old faithful..don't know if we were overly sensitive but that was enough time for us..lots of sulfer, lol...we did see plenty of bison, moose, and an overly friendly mountain goat! came right up to the car...

btw, at the timewe went they did have a restriction on softside or tents.

also checked the koa book and they have one outside the park...

if for some reason you can't do yellowstone, you might try mt rushmore as an alternative location...the koa mt rushmore was awesome..like a big resort and plenty to do for the kids in-park...we also did bear adventure...thought it was pricey, till we were surrounded by bears, lol...and going thru custer nat park, drove thru a herd of bison...we'd rented a car at the campground and it was free entry sticker on the rental...
