Pushing off a timeshare

I loved it but its just too tough right now. I'm really gonna miss going out a timeshare cottage, but it's gotta be done. I asked a friend about it but he gave me a gloom-and-doom about how impossible it's gonna be to send my contract on its way. Is it really that bad?

What kinds of options are there (sorry, I haven't been able to do a lot of research, my nostalgia makes me lethargic :P )? Am I still going to end up with maintenance fees and all the crap that made me want to sell in the first place? One of the firms I was contacted by suggested a title transfer, and they didnt even want detailed info on my timeshare, just saying that "hey, we'll take it no questions asked." Whats up with that?

RE: Pushing off a timeshare

Well, I wouldn't say it's impossible, but it's not easy for some and those companies have connections you may not have access to for making sales easy, possible, even less painful (though they can't alleviate your sadness at losing a timeshare you loved having). I don't know much about title transfers myself but I noticed this place called timeshare consumer group, and it has a few good tips for what to watch out for.

Here is a link that might be useful: LINK
