| Hi! I hope I get a response on this as this forum doesn't appear to get much traffic. Has anyone vacationed in the Lake Norman area? Any idea of advice as to the area to stay in? We are looking at Cornelius which seems to be the main hub of the area. We would like to be in an area where there is a lot to do within a short distance. Our DD, 20 yrs. old will be with us. We have been to Myrtle Beach a few times and loved it there. However, we would like to try someplace new this year. Thanks for your input! |

I live in Charlotte, and would never have thought of Lake Norman as a vacation spot. Are you into NASCAR? There is boating and stuff on the lake, and Charlotte is close, so there is theater, music and dining. I know this is very late, but did you ever go?
