Has anyone ever been to Hedo II or III? Which did you prefer and why?

Follow-Up Postings:

RE: Hedonism

Neither is for "family" vacations. But both are fun.

I recommend 3 over 2. It is newer and has a better layout. At hedonism 2 it can be a 30 minute round trip from the nude pool back to your room if you're unlucky. at hedonism 3 all rooms are within walking distance to anywhere on resort property you'd like to go.

The one benefit 2 has is that it is in Negril, which is far nicer than Runaway Bay. However Hedonism 2 is in the armpit of negril and so the resort itself doesn't have that nice of a beach (but if you like you can walk down the shore and experience one of the best beaches in the world).

RE: Hedonism

The review posted above is completely false. I go to Hedo 2 every year. It is large, but not to large. So you may have to walk 15 minutes to get from one side of the campus to the other if you happen to get a room on the far side... big deal. I want a resort that is bigger than my back yard thank you. Also how do you come off saying Hedo 2 is the armpit of Negril? You obviously havent looked around much have you? Negril is one of the most beautiful places on the island hands down. True H2 is a little older, but they are similar in the design of the rooms. Hedo 2 was built by the Jamaican government, as were many other resorts on the island to promote tourism. The Negril resorts are at most 3 stories high as there are ordinances in place to keep buildings lower than the tree line. So when you look out, you dont see towering resorts instead of palms and other trees. Negril was one of the last places on the island to be explored. As a result, it is much more natural than some of the other areas of the island. The beach at H2 is spectacular! It is private, and part of Negril's famous 7 mile beach. It is nice sand, unlike the man made beach at Hedo 3. The beach at H3 is rocky any tiny. The water sports are not as good as the sea is much rougher at H3. the water at H2 is part of long bay. great for snorkleing, scuba, sailing, and just about any other water sport. the atmosphere is great at H2... lots of party people. If you want to go to bed at 9:30, go to H3, if you want to party all night, and play all day, go to Hedonism II.

RE: Hedonism

We have been to Hedo III 4 times. We do lots of partying and playing at Hedo III and well after 9:30! I think each Hedo has its good points and not so good ones. Whichever you choose, if you go with an open mind, you will have a great time!

RE: Hedonism

I've never heard anyone describe hedo2 as having a nice beach, especially the nude side where most people hang out.

Negril is a 7 mile beach shaped roughly like a C, Hedo2 & Grand Lido are at the far end of the C, what I call the armpit. The beach there is man made with imported sand and quite rocky.

Walk down the beach to Sandals and the other resorts and the beach is amazing, but at Hedo, especially the nude side, it is not.

You'll notice in my accurate review I said that Negril was nice, merely that Hedonism II was at the end of it.

I've included a link to your "ultimate site" that has more people giving "Completely false" reviews that happen to agree with mine. Negril is nice, but Hedonism II's nude beach is not.

Hedo2 is more friendly to single guys I believe, maybe that is why brent likes it.
