Eric oh: Supplements? Ur kidding? He is very opposed to taking supplements! Why don't u actually research the man before you... He tells you to grow your fruits, vegetables, and herbs! He is not concerned with money at all.... He does sell herbal tinctures of very high quality, $24 last 3 weeks... But he tells you to make your own. In his book he even tells you how to make them. Furthermore, you don't even need the herbs the fruit is enough to clean your lymph system for proper detoxification... He deals with patents with MS and spinal cord injuries who does not have the opportunity to live freely... You don't know our government, huh? They TRIED to sue/ lock up this man because they aren't making any money! He is curing people for next to nothing conpared to the thousands of dollars for chemo and radiation, which doesn't cure nothing, it kills!! The government wants us dumbed down, population control, world bank, etc.. Come on, wake up and stop running from the truth. Joe

I totally understand what you're feeling. It would be nice to share your passion with someone who can appreciate it. Mostly I say I garden for my own enjoyment and satisfaction. But last year I experienced a visit from a gardener who was visiting a relative in my town. It was fun for both of us and made me realize how much I was missing by not having more of that kind of interaction. But Phil, even though the people on the garden tour weren't knowledgeable about hostas, I bet they are more interested now that they've seen your garden and may become hosta lovers. I'm sorry I can only enjoy your garden through the internet. But I'm glad you share it with me.

Yeah, the problem with Pepper Joe/Penny's Tomatoes isn't the customers he's delivered to... ...it's the people he's threatened ...it's the seed he's renamed in order to create false exclusivity ...it's the photos/text he's stolen from others to fill his websites ...it's the excuses he makes and blame he re-directs rather than accepting responsibility ...it's his treatment of critics, from threats of lawsuits to all out attacks on other businesses and works (such as the attack on fellow GardenWeb tomato expert Carolyn Male (amongst others) or websites that are critical of his businesses) This guy is working hard to put his name/face/business out there as the defacto face of the pepper industry. He not only doesn't deserve it...he doesn't have the credibility to make a claim to it.

You already answered the question Bonnie, because they're stupid and clueless. I have no idea on why they were so adamant about wanting them and then didn't do anything but yank them all out. My nasty side wants them or at least her, to get bitten by the gardening bug and then to realize what they tossed down the hill behind the house! Serve 'em right. Those pictures up there of when we lived there, were taken before we even thought about moving. So all those bags of mulch had been spread, rocks were used to outline the grassy areas. I took pictures, but my camera pooped out on me and somehow, the pictures were all lost. For a cherry tree, an absolute bird magnet is the Wild black cherry (Prunus serotina). Another good one is the American Plum (Prunus americana). On that lot, we had Northern red oaks (Quercus rubra), Sour Gum (Nyssa sylvatica), Sourwood (Oxydendrum arboreum), Loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) and also Crossvine (Bignonia capreolata). The Liriodendron tulipifera is the state tree and one to surely have. In the back yard, I had an American holly (Ilex opaca), winterberries (Ilex verticillata), viburnums, native serviceberry. I wanted, but never bought, Northern bayberry (Myrica pennsylvanica) and Spicebush (Lindera benzoin). I also had Strawberry bush (Euonymus americana), American beautybush (Callicarpa americana), Fragrant sumac (Rhus aromatica), Red buckeye (Aesculus pavia), Bottlebrush buckeye (Aesculus parviflora)....and I can't even think of all that I had. I still am in contact with people down there and they tell me all the time how bad that drought is. When we moved down there in July of 03, it was just after the flood! What a difference, huh? Wimpy for snow? I love snow. I think I missed that the most living in TN!! Forget my parents and my siblings and their families, I missed snow! LOL! I am seeing more and more butterflies around here. This morning I discovered a Black Swallowtail caterpillar! I'm happy ;) I think the ecosystem that exists here in this town is so out of whack. So anything I can do to bring it back, I'm doing.
