Sorry I can't help you with specifics. I only wish to say that you shouldn't have too much trouble finding an opportunity once you arrive. You can check with local Musikhochschulen (music academies or conservatories) for details about concerts in larger areas (munich, freiburg im breisgau, stuttgart, etc). You even have a good chance to hear something in a small village nearby. Students (music students here are often excellent!) often get gigs playing concerts in small village churches, or you could ask for a private demo. Another possibility would be to attend mass.
Good luck und viel Spass!

PASSAU!!!!!!!!!!!! You MUST VISIT PASSAU!!!! It is the easternmost city in southern Germany located where the 3 rivers, Inns, Ils, and Danau (Danube) come together. They have an organ in their cathedral of St. Stephen (the mother church of Stephen's Dom in Vienna) with 17,000 pipes spread out over 5 locations within the cathedral!! Attend a church service there on a Sunday, buy CD's recorded there, look up in advance concerts to be held there during the tourist season. It is a great town to visit anyway, even without the cathedral. A number of churches with elaborate pipe organs do recitals throughout the tourist season. Passau is not very far away from Salzberg in Austria, where St. Peter's church also has a 5 location organ and a number of compositions specifically composed for that church.
How vivid these memories are in our minds! We were at both of these locations just last month.
