| Ive never visited the deep interior of Mexico and plan a trip to Oaxaca and possibly flying in to Veracruz as a point of entry.
Any information on Oaxaca and safe travel there would be appreciated . Sincerely, Rob ![]() |

| Oaxaca is fabluous. And safe. I didn't fly into Veracruz, but I suppose it's fair advice to say that if you're looking for the safest route, take the more expensive of the buses offered. There's a big difference between spending $40 dollars and $8 dollars to get to Oaxaca (been there, done 'em both!). Once in Oaxaca, there's a great hostel that is perfect if you're looking for budget accomodations. The hotels I stayed in there were also good, just more expensive. Be sure to take in the day trips, particularly the one to Hierve el Agua. A definite must-see. Oaxaca is a pretty touristy place, so don't worry so much about safety... Have a great time! Jane |
