Shaddy please ignore your second thread requesting help. I had replied there before realising you had 2 threads running on the same issue. This only causes confusion. Below is what I had written on the other thread............ This is more likely a software issue than anything to do with hardware. Does the loading stop at the same spot each time? How long after the black screen do you wait before you shut down and re-start? Leave it a little longer next time to see if it cures itself as it seems like a corrupt file. Watch the flashing of the activity light on the front of your tower, does it stop about the same time as the black screen? Next time this happens and you reboot take a look here once it is running click Start click Control panel click Administrative tools click Event viewer Do not get frightened off by all the gibberish you see while doing the next bit Shaddy. Just quietly review it for clues so we can help you get this sorted out. Now we have a new window with 2 sides, on the left side click on System. Now look on the right side for red error messages, scrolling down if needed. Double click on any of these to see what it says. You may not understand much of it but look for clues and any error message and error number. There is also a link underlined and in blue text, you can click on that the bring up a help page. When you have finished there go back to the left side of the Event viewer window and click on Application and see what there is there regarding errors or warnings.

Betty what a pretty ornament...and I would imagine a very special one full of memories. Isn't that what they're supposed to be about? :) I'm so excited today. I found my tinsel tree!!!! And I found the tree stand I forgot I purchased for a dollar at a garage sale right next to it as well as six strands of NOS bubble lights :) The tree stand revolves slowly and plays music ala music box style bells. It's from the 70's likely...maybe a bit earlier but the box says that when I put my holiday tree in the stand and turn it on...I will be the envy of the neighborhood! heh heh So I did...and I must say, I love the old thing LOL Now to decorate....(It's actually quite pretty on it's own but I'm going to try. it's very delicate so I won't be letting DS Help today....I'll have to sneak if I can get him to take a nap heh heh) I'm dying to finish it and post a pic.

The Hunter boots have been very trendy for a while. They are constantly in fashion blogs. I have seen them recently, in real life, all over the Pac NW ... Seattle, Portland, etc. With that said, I never noticed them growing up here unless we were at the coast! I needed a new pair of rubber boots recently so did a lot of research. As mentioned, the Hunters don't appear to hold up like they used to from reading reviews online. I bought a $79 pair from Costco (who still offers a couple colors) because of their return policy. I would be cautious to purchase them elsewhere other than, perhaps, Nordstrom. At the same time, I also purchased a pair of Le Chameau's from Amazon at a substantial discount. Their reviews were much more positive, yet limited. I ended up keeping both. The Hunters feel really clunky and are oversized on my calves, but that makes it very easy to slip them on and off. If it's raining, and I need to wear boots outside briefly, they make sense. By contrast, the Le Chameau's are extremely fitted. I have small calves and just have room to fit leggings. The quality seems much nicer, they are smaller and pack up easily, they have a pretty lining, and I think they are more stylish/discreet. Because of the narrow fit, they aren't easy to get on and off without hands. So, I decided those would be better for rainy days when I will be out and about for a longer duration or for travel.
