| I have 15 pieces of plexi glass that used to be on the table tops of restaurant tables.
Any ideas how I can use them? |

| I once saw a pattern for a squirrel maze that I wanted to make ..it used plexiglass and looked quite interesting and entertainung. You certainly have a piece of gold as that stuff is not cheap. Another idea would be to creatively mount it on the front of a curio display shelf to keep your pretties from catching so much dust |

| My sis used to make suncatchers out of Plexi-glass. It can EASILY be cut with a bandsaw . She'd cut out a shape - (usually a circle ) & lay it over a pattern & use a dremel tool to "etch" in a design . When it's done - it looked just like expensive glass - she sold tons of them at craft fairs. I made a bunch & it is really easy ! |

| I don't know about the maze, LOL I'm squirrely enough already!! I could get my son to cut the shapes and I have a dremel so I guess I need to go look for easy patterns. I do plan to use two pieces in a sort of window box picture. I'll use spacers on 4 corners and the inside will have flowers made from paints, beads, etc. and I'll use flat wicker shape baskets and several vases made from sea glass. that will be my winter project because it will take that long to do:-) |

| The best patterns for "engraving" is a coloring book . Everything is simple ! |

| Guess I will be stealing the grand kids coloring books:-) |

| If you'd like to paint some of your suncatchers Gallery Glass works great on plexi and will become permanent. I also use small cut plexi shapes for Christmas ornaments and etch them or paint them either with Gallery Glass, regular acrylics, or acrylic enamels. Whichever you choose to do here are some links to some of my favorite free stained glass pattern sites that are great for painting, etching, and carving into plexi, wood, or glass using your dremel...I love my Dremels! http://chantal-stainedglasspatterns.com/1suncatcher1.html http://www.stainedglass.on.ca/free pattern.htm http://www.panedexpressions.com/free-stained-glass-patterns-archive.ht ml http://www.glasspainting.co.uk/ http://www.warner-criv.com/patterns.aspx http://www.colebrothers.com/pattsell/ http://www.glassartpatterns.com/free-stained-glass-projects9.asp http://stainedglasspatterns.com/index.php |
