I have seen these displayed in large plastic sleeves or a lightweight poly plastic in a huge box.(Not sure where you get these though) Maybe you could call an art store and ask where they got theres!!!The sleeves make it easy to look at the artwork and also they won't get damaged to the touch. For storage use the cardboard tubes.

won't you have to put them on some sort of backer board to keep them flat? maybe try a scrap-booking store for cardboards/plastic/fasteners?

That's an idea - only I may do it the cheap way. First I'll press the creases out, then cut large backer sheets of cardboard and fasten the posters to them. Anybody know what kind of fasteners would work and not leave holes, etc.?

why not use double sided tape for that & put a piece in eahc corner? that's at the scrapbook store. just using that wouldn't be pricey like the special paper. maybe get a roll of that cellophane like they use to wrap gift baskets & make your own covers, like big envelopes?

There is a strong market for old movie posters (check out ebay) If you need to display them (in your booth) use those black steel spring clips (binder clips) and secure them to foam core board. Since they were sent to movie theatres by the studios folded,creases from the folds do not harm the value. If someone decides to buy the poster he can take them to any conservator and the creases will be removed and the poster mounted on linen. Do not use tape or have them dry mounted by a frame shop...this does harm the value. Check out movie poster sites online to make sure you get a good price for these. some can be quite valuable.

Here's another display idea - why not roll them up (printed side in), rubberband them (or put into cardboard tubes) and affix a picture that you've taken of the poster to that, listing any flaws. You could put a lot in a barrel or umbrella stand, they would stay pretty nice and it would be easy to move them around and see what was available.
