another idea for window for xmas

I was at ac moore and I fell in love with this snowman....plus the 30 percent off also lol...anyway this is what i decide to put together to use on one of my windows that only had one piece of glass....

Love it, Mojo. Lettering on that pane of glass looks great--I'm sure not good at doing lettering. Great idea with the electric candle too so it can be lit up. Luvs

Paintingfool, thank you OK, I will start another post (I just did not want to be a "post hog" LOL ) luvstocraft, thank you, yep those are some of the roses I bought from Walmart, I bought all they had, they were prettier flowers than usual IMHO, you have to really look thru their stuff, but sometimes they have gems. "Do I mix silver and gold", wellllll, not to much in the tree (so far). Usually in my trees there is always a plain "base color ball", a gold ball, or a silver ball, then a solid color ball that is in my color theme for the tree, ex: red ball, or cream ball or pink ball, then I fill in with the more fancy ornaments. And crystal or clear glass ornaments always go with almost anything. Now, if a person is doing a "traditional tree" with all the mixed colors of the rainbow, then I would think mixing golds and silver is perfectly suitable. IMHO Please understand these are MY choices, and in no way am I setting rules, I would not want to offend anyone with their style choices, after all a person should decorate their home and tree in any way that makes them happy. Many would say my style is way overdone, but overdone makes me happy.... but, I will say, I do love elegant simplicity, I start out that way, but end up with way more LOL My DD decorates her tree much like me, but uses fewer ornaments. As far as tablesetting goes you can see there is the gold and silver in the silverware. I also have the gold band rim in my crystal stemware, which I paired with the silver chargers, so I do mix that to some extent in my dinner table.

Hi jbkidd, I have a couple ideas for you. Hope they're unique to you and your Xmas decorating. 1. Icicles - Take chicken wire, 36" in length, cut one end to 18" and the other end to 6" (you should have a triangle shape when you're done) You then lay a strand of white Xmas lights on top of the wire triangle. Shape this into a cone or funnel shape and wire the seams together. Then, wrap the whole outside with saran wrap, crinkle and bend the funnel shape so that it isn't perfectly straight. Make it look like an icicle. Then cover it with clear sprinkles of tiny beads or glitter. Do several and hang them on the fireplace mantle or hang outside on the eaves of your porch. 2. Another idea is to go to your local $1 store and purchase a pkg of copper scrub pads. The round ones. Remove the wire that holds the centre together and it will open up to a large round tube. Cut the tube in half and use it in decorating wreaths, put on the Xmas tree instead of expensive ribbons. If you want it wider, just cut it again lengthwise and open the tube up, stretch it open and use them that way. I did my whole front entry one Xmas with just copper scrub pads and copper flowers etc.. in my garlands, trees etc... Just let your imagination go wirery!! Ha Ha Hope these ideas are new and you enjoy creating with them. If you want more ideas - I have a wealth of them. Don't hesitate to ask. Cheers! Deborah

I can see why you would fall in love with the snowman...he's really cute. I love the way you've put it all together with the window. I may just copy your idea and do the same thing. I love snowmen!

Im going to be adding lights around the wreath also, the ones i bought just didnt work...(me and xmas lights do not get along lol) barbara it looks so cute the picture really dont do the piece justice....its ashame i cant show how pretty it is with the candle flickering....the approx cost for everything was 15.00 now where can you find a wreath for that price lol....oh and if you have an ac moore around you, I put a coupon for 40% off on the craft and decoration page on here...here are some other saying that I found online that i thought were cute also....
