what a cool link. Thanks Lindy B. I love her skirt. Ive been saving old neck ties for years to do something like it. But havnt yet, didnt think I would be brave enough to ever wear it.

I will check on the other in the morning. I may have missed an email. Good news on the stray cat front-the black and white cat has been rehomed, and just in time. Her new mom called me this evening and said Solar is making herself comfortable in a box under the stairs. That leaves little tail free Doc, whose tummy is now very round indeed, who needs a permanent home. It's been in the 80's for a few days and will be for a few more, then it looks like things will get really scary around Halloween. The F word has entered the forecast. Since I discovered the garden forum about two years ago, my changed for the best, I live in a city where expensive cars, nice restaurants and mall shopping are the most important things, I live in a small area that the city purchased few years ago and the minority live, I have to share this with you because I paint and fix my apartment myself, I do my gardening, grow bananas, tomatoes, my children also love to grow their own. as soon they come from school they run to the back yard,People here do not take care their homes and apartments,they don't even have to cook, there is habitat for humanity and the city to do all the work,so everybody believes that I am crazy because whenever a rich person give a resident a good piece of furniture I ask the maintenance guy to open the dumpster for me. The begining of the story is I just signed the lease for my 600sq ft storefront, I have 800 sq ft storage, even a brand-new cash register that somebody did not use for his business fell in my hand, mannequins, racks, displays case when Norstroms and Macys were renovating, one time I have to call a worker at the mall to watch the door of the compactor while I was inside grabbing a tailor manequin I have perfumes, Books, garden, flowers, collectibles, brand-new clothes, shoes and more. There is a very knowledgeble person from the garden forum that I want to thanks, watergal I am running my interior plants service and I am very happy and relaxed, I did my website with the help of my children is angieinteriorplants.com, my store will be angie's The Resale Diva, I just registered the name with the state, I still need more money for the next two month's expense, I also expect to take consigment, I really I have thank you all of you for your proyects, I am learning a lot, by the way I curb-shopped a very old and big mirror, I scraped the gold film in the back, glue pictures of myself, painted the frame and you can see the pictures and the reflection, Four people were bidding on it, starting a 150.00, Maybe I will keep it, I am sorry it is long but this is the begining of my new life and I have to tell, it means a lot to me, finally I will be making money and doing something that I enjoy at the same time. Sadly I am petless for the first time ever. I lost both my dogs within a year of one another. I had to send my Black Lab across the bridge this February. As soon as we get some yard work finished I'l be starting a new pack. We've always had two or more dogs in the past but this last pair were close in age and when the Rot died the Lab had too many issues with his health going on for us to introduce another dog. Pet Friendly Plans For the House: 1. Replacing our current pet door insert with a door in the glass on our family room slider. 2.Tile flooring in family room and kitchen. 3. Dog food storage cabinet in new laundry room. (for the 40 lb. plus bags of kibble) 4. Additional dog food storage cab in the kitchen for the cans,treats and a weekly amount of kibble. Dog first aid kit will be here also. 5. We are working on a design for a good (around 4 foot tall) custom dog gate for the wide hall separating the formal living room/dining room from teh rest of the house. The dogs are allowed there by invitation only. Our last Rottie was very social and would break the front room window trying to get out to play so the tall gate became a necessity. We already have the higher fences (thinks to hyper social Rot again) and we have areas of our backyard chain linked off from the dogs which provides an extra level of security for the. They can't get to any of the fence lines bordering the front yard. The plan is to get another pair of dogs starting with, hopefully, a female Rot this fall. Later we will add a male something (probably another Lab) that will be compatible as a brother. Reason being that Rots are strong willed and require a firm hand but mature faster. Labs can be strong willed adolescents for several years before they settle. I think I can train one more set of puppies before I age out. Then we will go into older dogs or puppy raising for Guide Dogs depending on our health and mobility.

May the trash be with you.... hmmmmm how does one put on a trashy fashion show.??? I am very very interested in this. What is the EPA...? Environmental Protetion Agency orEntertaining Peopleof America??? LOL Can't wait to check out this sight. Say, You have snow and rain out there don't cha? Just like us Iowans.......

Raven........ I saw the cutest chair.... no seat.... They wove ties to make one... just darling!!! I have also seen pillows woven from ties,,, glued together on the front.

hummm....just cleaned HDs tie rack yesterday and wondered how i could recycle these beautiful pieces of 100% silk! by the way...gals...you'll probably need to do this while he's busy elsewhere...they are so possessive of those really favorite "stained" ones!

My DH told me when he was a little boy
there was a man who took old tires and
wove seats for chairs....like the cane
chairs!!!

Never have seen one, he said
they were real comfortable, and you
couldn't wear them out!!

Just my 2

Well Lindy it used to Be the environmental Protection agency but for the last four years it has been the environmental pollution agency...and it's probably going to get worse. Bascially you create outfits, write a script have 2 people take turns announcing the outfits. Haute trash has been at it for years and do they have some racy outfits. and some gorgeous models to wear them. My modeling days are over was too fat to begin with and now it's just more fun being behind the scenes and creating outfits. there is also an amazing lady in New Mexico who does incredible detailed outfits using nails, etc. I will have to get my pics organized into a photo album to share with everyone. Iusually start with a thrift store dress and go from there. the last one I did binded by the light used the black plastic report bindings that get tossed outwhere I work. I usually create one outfit a year. theres no limit to the creativity.

OHIO MOM.......my god.... how in the heck would one cut a rubber tire??? A saw? an electric knife.....??? haa ha.. I actually bought an old harvest gold electric knife today to cut out my hearts out of insulation board...to paint like candy hearts....I went to a fabulous second hand store today and got it for 3 bucks.... Everything else I got was a quarter or 50 cents....LOL I LIKE dem kind of treasures!!!! Come to think of it, I bet he used a jigsaw to cut the rubber tires.....now ya got me thinkin!!!!! uh oh

Trashtricks.... may the trash be with you! I went to that website......OH MY goodness... I can not believe it!!!It was unreal! Never be a fashion show like that around here in the midwest...hmmmmmmmm Maybe I ought to do something like that.....My first thought was a lampshade on my head!!!! LOL

OH man!!!!!!!! and just after I got the saw out...!!! LOL just kidding....OK... innertubes.....huh..start a new fad? They wove these??? does your husband have one in the garage you could take a pic of??LOL Doesn't this sound like a hoot? Sure glad I didn't start sawing that tire...!!!! ha ha

No, this was over 40 years ago. But you know
how you 'weave' a mat...like a 'basket weave'?

That is what it sounds like he did!!! My DH
said they were real comfy!!! Probably better
than the hard plastic they make now!!!

You know it's funny, our generation was 'recycling'
out of 'necessity' before it was a 'fad' thing
to do.

Nothing got thrown away...it was mended or had
an alternative use!!!

Living in the city I have to shake my head at the
waste out on the curb that goes to landfills....
I wonder what the 'future' archeologist will
think about us!!!

I just asked my DH, and he said they still make innertubes. He said to check your local tire store, or even Walmart.

Now another question gals..... don't you think that after awhile of sittin my fat butt in this woven innertube it would start to stretch out??? LIke I'd be sittin on the ground in 2 years???? LOLWhen I think of innertubes I just keep thinking they are stretchy//??? But maybe not too.....stretchy.....hmmmmmm
