Congrats! We have a new one baby coming in 2010 also! It is still very early for our DD...but they couldn't keep it a secret! LOL We are Nana & Papa! When the girls got bunnies years ago, they said we were grandpa and grandma....nope, don't like that so we went with Nana & Papa! Only prob, the other grandmother is called Nana also...and long before the kids met. :/ Oh well, they will figure it out quick! DH has a VHS to DVD gadget that he bought last winter. He has all of our old tapes now on DVD and we sent many to the neighborhood kids...that now have their own kids...from years ago when there were 15 kids in our neighborhood! Great fun, then and now! We haven't had our family Christmas yet, until the 9th then we will have all the kids together....to me, that is the best gift of all!!

I don't live far from belle meade and I toured last July so I must have missed it in bloom ! Or possibly passed it up , it's a large property ! What a great photo !! And if you have an extra new dawn I'll take you up on the offer ! We bought the pergola at a place called " lot of faith amish and Mennonite built furniture " in dickson . They have an area of clearance display models ,which saved him a lot of money . They have a catalog as well of everything they offer and are just so sweet . I really can't wait to get it delivered ! Maybe if you ever want to meet and share a garden tour we could arrange that . I'd love to see others rose gardens in the area ! Buford good luck with your fresh new beds ! if they just work, why not make them some dinners? or if they have a hobby or craft they like to do, contribute to that (gift card to the store they buy it at)., special piece of jewelry, watch, new wallets, something monogrammed, gift card to their favorite store or favorite on-line store.... i don't want this to sound harsh, but there comes a point where its not all about what you want. Yes, traditions are wonderful, but they can change too and sometimes for the better!! you have to let go a little and abide by what they want. they are adults and can make up their own minds. The holidays, to me, is all about being together and enjoying each others company. to me, that is much better than any gift anyone gives me. they may be doing this for reasons you don't understand and they are hesitant to tell you. sometimes you have to trust what your family tells you at face value. i know its hard, but that's life. it isn't easy.... flip side: if you do wind up not buying gifts, they can't by you anything either !!! i would be mortified if i didn't buy them something and they bought me something!!! worse nightmare!!! so clear it up ASAP!!!! but then again, sometimes it is nice to receive and not give!! haha Good Luck!!! just an FYI: my sisters and i decided this year not exchange gifts and go out and do something fun!! to be truthful, i was sick and tired of trying to figure out what to buy them (another THING) and would rather spend time with them and make memories instead. and i didn't want another THING in my house!!!!!

I have already ordered some consumables for some friends who are in our supper club. I have ordered homemade shortbread, cookies, and a mixed variety of her biscotti. I plan to make up a mixed bag for each couple and give it to them before Thanksgiving so the can enjoy it now. We have a local leather shop that makes beautiful small leather goods that are hand embossed with monograms if desired. DH and I are going to go check out a couple of small money clips for our guys in the family. I have seen these and they look perfect for a drivers license and credit card with a money clip for cash. I need a 21st birthday gift for our oldest DGD pretty soon. Don’t have a clue yet what to get for her.
