Need ideas to convert recycle old sports games

Is there a website that shows how to convert & recycle old sports game accessories & equipment? I watched HGTV one day and they showed how they took an old croquet set and made table, easel stand for picture frame, coat rack out of the mallets, etc AND WE LOVED THE IDEA!

They also made a flag out of baseball bats & balls:

and baseball table & hat rack: http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_refurbish_furniture/article/0,,HGTV_3487_1399565,00.html

We want to know how to do this to other sports / games too because we're planning to convert our garage to a game room and it would be SO COOL! Here's our list:
fishing, billiard pool accessories, tennis, baseball bat - helmet & balls, football & helmet and golf clubs & bag & balls.

One time I saw how a golf bag was made into a floor lamp but can't remember where I saw it.

a whole page of ways to create & recycle items

Looking forward to everyone's ideas!

A fishing pole could be used as a curtain rod (lightweight curtains only).

Maybe you could line the baseball helmet with a inexpensive plastic bowl, glue 3+ balls on the bottom so that it doesn't roll away? Perfect for chips?

We need pictures when you get some of your projects done! Sounds like it will be a fun room.

Football or Baseball helmet would be neat turned into a beer caddy.
Billard balls could be cut in half and turned into a clock.
Gold clubs could be used for a curtain rod.
Tennis racket a key holder or remove the strings and replace with a mirror.
Golf bag would make a neat lamp. You'd have to buy a lamp kit and a shade. I'd be incline to cut a circle near the top from wood and run the lamp kit thru that secure it at the neck with screws.
I can't remember if they sit level or not but you could use a couple of golf clubs attached to the sides to help give it balance, maybe around the neck of the lamp add some golf balls glued in place to hide the wood.
For some stablity so a good wind can't knock it over add some bricks inside.
