I just went up to put the pieces that have fallen off into a baggie so they wouldn't get lost. I counted 40 pieces that had come loose. But looking at the mosaic borders, and trying to count how many pieces would be needed to fill those holes, I came up with more than 40. I guess I need to call the tile store, but if anyone has experience with whether or not this is normal, I'd appreciate it before I yell at someone for poor packaging if this is actually what usually happens! K

I went into a state of panic regarding the Islatile. This morning I drove over to a store where I bought the subway tile and spoke to Bill who is one of the owners and a great guy willing to give information. He loved the floor (even though I bought it at Cancos) and thought it would love great. He said Isla was a good name and made a quality product. I am going with a biscuit color grout on the subways and as blondelle said it would look mostly like texture and not conflict with the floor. I am leaning toward a medium taupe grout to pick up the color of the one inch square. I thought I read on the forum that the grout on the mosaic would help with a glossy finish. I am having the bathroom gutted and am going with the Kohler Memoirs "Stately" pedestal sink (24"), toilet and bathtub.

Oh, nosoccermom! You posted the kind of thing I was thinking of when I first saw her photo. I didn't look further on Overstock (I'm already killing time I should be spending on something else), but the wavy would be great -- a little softer. It's a marriage of the large rectangles behind and the curves of the furniture. It is unexpected, but still adds formality. I like either of the rectangles. They are simple, yet dramatic and unique enough for your pedestal DR. OK, Lauren -- you can't say we aren't giving you ideas! LOL ETA: I showed the disc chandelier that is in my bedroom on your other thread. Thanks to both of you. Every little will help. I don't know if I used unsanded grout or not. I got it at Michaels and I thought grout was just grout. My next project?? I don't know yet. I've started to glue glass pieces on a glass mushroom. Maybe I'll have better luck with that. What do you use to color grout? Is there a grout coloring product? By the way, I met a woman in a TS a few weeks ago. She uses stained glass in stepping stones. Somebody gave her boxes of stained glass pieces. She told me she'll share with me. She lives about 70 miles from me, but I'm going to try to get together with her next month. I'm going to give her one of my garden art pieces in exchange. Sometimes it pays to strike up a conversation with a stranger.
