RE: Making a shell xmas tree

I have decorated picture frames with shells that I collected. I used GE Silicone to adhere them to the frames. It has worked very well. Some of them I sprayed lightly after with gold spray paint and they look fabulous! I have given many away as gifts.

RE: Making a shell xmas tree

Have any of you seen color tinted shells? How is that done?BTW,thanks for the glue tip.I guess the easy way out would be styro cones, but I have visions of beginning the process with a wrap of xmas lights, and I don't want to have the tree burn,so I was thinking about a teepee of driftwood with the lights wired to the inside, and fishnet over the top with shells glued on outside.Any thoughts?
