| Well it wasnt someone else's trash that got salvaged....but my own! I had a wall of French doors (9 foot wide, with three panels) at the end of my house. We had a leak in the framing and the sills, etc rotted. When the contractor quoted me for replacing the entire unit I nearly had a cow! What seemed particularily sad was that the glass panels were intact and in good shape (triple E tempered glass) so what we decided to do was frame two of them out as windows that are on either side of a new full glass exterior door . They are finishing the work today and it looks as if the price will be closer to $600.00 vs $3500.00! It looks wonderful and I still have one more panel left to use with my sunroom project coming up!
