| I think I found an honest to goodness real antique chair. I saw it and thought, how nice for the garden. But when I got it home and really looked at it, especially the sticker on the underside of the seat, I thought, this is an antique chair, not going in the garden. It was made by 'Stickley & ...' can't see the last name and sticker is torn. Using zoom, I think it says Chair No. 738. I realize one leg is missing and thought I'd have a chair leg in the shed I could replace it with. I've heard of Stickley furniture and looked it up on the web but couldn't come close to finding this particular chair. I'll try eBay or something else.
Anyone know about this chair, history, etc. Your comments are appreciated, thanks. I don't know how to put two pics in one post so I will post another pic of the sticker. Sal |
