| Last night on my daily walk, I found the cutest little bike set out for the trash. It's a red Radio Flyer 2 wheeled bike, with tires only about 10" in diameter. I can't imagine why anyone would throw such a sweet thing away. They had other good looking stuff, and if I'd not been on foot, I'd have taken more. The kicker was that it was beginning to rain, and by the time I got it home (only 2 blocks, but it was awkward to wheel/carry), I was drenched. When I get back from vacation, I plan to buy it(or find it) some teeny baskets and plant it. Since it's red, I'm wondering about replacing the plants with greens and Xmas balls at Christmas. Have you ever seen this done? My husband discovered my treasure this morning, and the eyerolling has begun again! |

| I have in fact seen an older bike with greenery and Xmas lights in the basket up front. It was a larger, woman's bike though, it looked fantastic and I have seen that idea in decorating magazines. Hope you'll take a pic for us and share. |
