Size of the mirror would be nice in figuring out the era. It's beveled glass, as you know.....and curved....which makes the bevel impossible to do by machine.....so a good amount of hand work went into the bevel. The frame appears to be walnut wood under the gilt and paint....which is beautifully done. But the picture of the back is out of focus so I am not sure. Walnut speaks to American origin. Top of my head guess without knowing more, would be mid 19th century....but things like size, what is the backing? There appears to be a smudge on the front...is that on the mirror or the door in the reflection? Is there evidence or the backing ever replaced, like tack holes around the edge, and what do you know of it's background. Asking for an ID of a piece from a few pictures,w ithout any further information is rather tricky.

I feel as if the vanity mirror world is super small now that I have explored far and wide. :) We did buy some mirrors on Amazon, but the construction was so bad that we had to send them back. (eg. The mirror was pulling away from the backing.) We can't go any wider than 20" due to the sinks being so close to the wall; and 30" (the height of the larger mirror) seems to be the absolute max for this space. (And even that might be too tall as my husband mentioned that the glass shades are not on the fixture yet.) Stacey, round mirrors won't work due to the width issue, and we have been trying to avoid ovals since we have had them in every other bathroom and want a change. :) Still open to any other suggestions, and many thanks again!

I need to see the spaces and the mirrors . IMO mirrors should always refelcet something worth seeing twice except in a bathroom or walkin closet . Mayeb in a foyer if you use that entry for day to day in and out just for that last minute check. I much prefer a nice piece of art at an entry but I need to see your issue.

It's stunning @salonva! Sorry to hear about the tile guy's accident! Hope he's ok now. Everything looks wonderful. Yes, I think a somewhat longer mirror will fit the space better. As you said, a small change. Good you caught the tub size issue before it was installed! Have you gotten the cost of the shower glass? That is the one thing I do not yet know the cost of since it's done at the very end. I mean, after the cost of everything else, I'm sure it will be a small percentage, but still it would be nice to have an estimate. I suppose I could ask contractor what he thinks it will be. My contractor told me 3 weeks as long as I have everything in house when they start. I find that really hard to believe. We have everything either here or ordered and expected before the start date. But there are so many moving parts, and things have to be done in such a specific order (marble slab on shower ledge wall before tile and shower bench, wall tile before vanities, wall tile before or after bench install? (no idea), etc etc). I sure hope the contractor and the marble and quartz fabricator work well together! Oh, wait, the lights I picked are on back order. Right now they're saying shipping on May 1st. That should be fine, I think. Even if everything else is done and I still have to wait for lights, should be ok. There will be pot lights and a chandelier. It's just the vanity lights that are on backorder. So we will have light in the bathroom even without them for a short time (I hope). I really don't want to start the search again! And I have to pick a paint color too. I'm sure that will be easy (NOT!). I'm very envious you are at the finish line.
