I think you might try GE Silicone II clear for doors and windows or for bathroom and kitchen (same thing we are told)

Aquarium silicone is used to both glue and waterproof an aquarium when you glue the sides together.

I haven't posted here before, but this caught my eye. What are you doing with your glass? I do fused glass and we often call in the "big guns" glue E6000.

If not, my favorite for glass (small projects) is Duco Cement. It will even fill/repair a crack or bullet hole in a window pane (don't ask!).

You can get it for about $1.00 a tube at hardwares and even some dollar stores. It is great stuff.

This may be too late of an answer but i do glass on glass mosaics and what "we"(mosaicers) like the best is Weldbond. The best part is you can use it for EVERYTHING!! Even dilute it and use as a sealer! They have a website but I get mine at ace hardware. I can get a gallon jug for 25.00.

I agree with lilpeaches - weldbond is great.

I wouldn't use silicone of any type if you are going to paint it later. Paint doesn't stick to silicon. Hate for you to get all done and then not have the paint stick to it.
