Hey Brooke! Yea - I am buying again since I had a disaster and lost all except 1 orchid. My 3 season room where they all seem to winter happily had the door left open over night a couple of weeks ago and everything froze and turned to mush. So - I am buying again :-) Yes, when I say this is a mini - the pot is about 3 inches across and the spike is maybe 4 - 5 inches tall at most? I know there is nothing for scale in the picture. This thing is tiny and adorable! I didn;t know there were mini orchids. The blooms maybe slightly larger (I mean grapes do come in a variety of sizes) but I would guess they are about an inch across. Anyway it is a little cutie and I am keeping it! Alexa

LOL Luvs: My friend is an enabler of the worst kind so setting aside things wouldn't be a far stretch for her I don't imagine. I have a feeling she's going to get me in a whole heap of trouble, esp when I have to tell DH "need more storage space". LOL

Cathy, considering how much flash flooding we've had lately, I suppose it's also ''unfair'' that we have a dry basement! We started looking at houses one year after the 1993 floods, and could tell wet basements were a real problem around here. (When in doubt, look for the house at the top of a hill, keep those drains and gutters clear, and grade away from your house!) One benefit of tonight's rain is the double rainbow I got a fantastic picture of right out my back door. I don't get to see many of those. Pam, if we did remodel, I'd be the one who is dedtired. We still live in Dorothy-land, so I'm trying to clear a habitable space in case of inclement (tornado) weather. Right now, I won't even go down there.

The tall one is definitely tall enough for pasta. It's the size of a large pasta pot (without the strainer). I didn't know it had a non-stick coating....I thought it was the colour of the pot. I'm still not 100% positive. There no chips, or wear spots anywhere on the inside, that's how I wasn't (and still not sure). I bought it for browning meat, and making stews and sauces; can never have enough tall pots. If it's nonstick, I'd better not use it for browning (or at least at a high heat!)
