Plate Flower Display

I've been making garden plate flowers for a few months and am finally going to attempt to sell some at our local farmers market. The market is held in a large parking lot and I'm looking for ideas on how to display my flowers?

5 gal can with some sand in it! Couple of large potted plants(sign on plant that is is for display of plate flowers only.) That's all I can think of. pics I've seen at sales had yard to put some of them in or the 5 gal containers. Good Luck! Hope you do well!

Kitty litter is lighter to carry than sand.....
I learned that quickly!!LOL
A 5 gal bucket of sand is HEAVY!

I just used little rubber pads that you use on the bottom of chairs and such. They are those round things that you put down to keep things from sliding. They are about 1/2 inch in diameter. The inside of my cabinet is white as are the pads. I just stuck it to the edge of the plate and they haven't moved at all. The two plates I have standing up are actually platters, so they are bigger and heavier than the average plate. I thought about the molding, but I was afraid of putting it in and messing up the cabinet. I waited two years for that thing to go on sale. I wasn't going to add anything to it that I could mess up. :) Hope that helps!

I really like the plate in the picture you posted. What is the plate's diameter? If you could take a picture of a mock up (on the floor or on a table) of your mirror with the plates around it, that would help us visualize how they look together. To me, it would depend on the size of the mirror and the size of the plates and how they relate together. Also, take a picture of the wall space where you are thinking of displaying them. A photo of paper mock ups taped onto the wall space would help in visualizing this, too.

What beautiful displays! The site for the brass ball hangers is: www.finehomedisplays.com/plateracksandhangers.asp I took pics of some of the plates over my cabinets so if you look close you can see the brass balls(not one comment from you igloochic!!) the plates are resting on. Its just a matter of taste. Some of my plates are on the wires. Lest you'll think I am gaudy, my kitchen and dining room are not that hollering yellow in my pics. It is very soft Porter Paints Wheat Straw. Amazing how colors change in pics. Stacey, start hanging and with anything you choose. You will love them because because....well, they will look great! Someone was in Hanna Antique's, huh? Gawd I love their stuff and I think it is one of the best shops in Birmingham. Don't give away our secret! lol I didn't find much this week, but I've been twice this past month. I'll go again before the sale is over, just in case. The Mulberry transferware is in one of the small booths, to right of stairs going up. Can't miss it. Probably 4 or 5 pieces. My mom used to buy me a chocolate cream pie from the Bright Star for my birthday each year, but we've moved and now DH orders something from Edgar's Bakery - the new one on 119, just off 280. I told him "I hope it wasn't red, white and blue." ;D He said he told them to half the decorations on a display cake - I have a feeling he was calling them today to change. lol They are open tomorrow, so he'll pick up then. Can't wait!

Right now I'm using an umbrella stand that I purchased at GW. I have a plan for some wooden stands but haven't found the time to acutally build them yet. If and when I do, I will post a picture.

and sand shifts- too many crashes. Kitty litter is the best- and use an old pot, if you can find one.

I use a really large plastic vase that I found and put river rock around pvc pipe. holds well and doesn't tip over.

A gal over on garden junk who is selling them in an icecream shop uses an milk crate over a piece of wood that she has drilled holes into.
