Should I take this from the trash? Creative help!

I posted this in Garden junk, and they suggested you all would know what to do with this stuff!...The electricians are here bringing the elevator up to a code change that happened this year. I noticed that they put a 5 or 6 foot length of wire which is covered in thick shiny metal (not copper) that winds/coils around it, about 3/4 inch diameter. IT is very flexible and wants to be in a loose coil. I don't think it would stay together if I pulled the wire out. Suggestions? or should I leave it to go to the dump? Also recently found a big plastic drinking water bottle that goes to a cooler. What can I do with it? Mini green house comes to mind of course.
Or I could put a snake head on the wire thingy, paint the bottle to look like an apple and wind the snake around it! I think my dh would divorce me tho... |

| Can you post some pics of the wire. Maybe if we see it, we can come up with some ideas. I think a mini green house out of the cooler bottle is a fantastic idea though. Sal |
