| A young friend of mine is mourning the passing of her first car. The car will be scrapped, but the burgundy leather seats are in perfect shape and she would like to turn them into furniture. If anyone has some idea or knows of a site with pictures/directions, I would be very grateful.

| Great idea! I love it. Wish I would have thought to do that with my first car. Do you have pix of the undersides of these seats? That would help. I would think you'd be able to build a frame with legs for them though. I'll check back later to see if you have pix. ~Justie~ |

| Would you be able to use whiskey barrel halves turned upside down and bolt the car seats to them for outdoor seating on a porch or other area. You can find the barrels at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Sal |

| http://www.theinteriorgallery.com/cat_auto.cfm I did a google search on 'car seat furniture' and this showed up. I'm sure there are others, but this was kind of neat. Most look to be replicas but might be fun to see what parts of her car she could revise and make some really cute stuff. |
