I had a plant sale this past year. It was such a good experience that I will be doing it again. I did try to sell some new wsn plants from this past winter, but found that the older plants went much faster. I had to divide a lot of plants (not winter sown), but a lot of plants which I sold were from winter sowings in the last few years. Some plants, such as Coreopsis Domino which I winter sowed a few years ago and reseeded nicely,had footings which were 1 foot in diameter, so they were split in 4. Other plants were just one year old Echinaceas with good footings. I started potting up wayyyyyy early. Some plants were already in the holding bed in pots and simply had to be plucked out. :O) Nothing was more than $3.00. There was a tag with color and name of the plant. There were three long sets of tables, one at $1.00, the second at $2.00, and the third at $3.00. On the tag was a colour - red for the dollar plants, green for the two dollar, and blue for the three dollar. This enabled my family to help out since they only had to look at the colour to determine the price. The three dollar plants sold out in no time. They were in pots no less than 5.5 inches. Two dollar plants went well, and the $1.00 new winter sown plants barely went. I planted those back in a new bed which I intend to dig up again next spring and sell at $3.00 each since they will be much bigger. From 9am to 11am I made $700.00.

I wonder if it as hard to close a Twitter acct as it is to ditch FB. Some controversary going around about Pinterest. Some people don't credit back to the owner of the picture, and have used them for commercial purposes besides. We are being advised to watermark all our pics, but I guess there is a way to remove the watermark too. One blogger I know was contacted by the owner of the pic and asked to remove them. There was no link back on the pic when she found it. Photo bucket accounts can be locked too. I don't like having to have a FB or Twitter account to join Pinterest, and if enough people protest, they will change. Way too much info out there!

They [Medical society] claim that in a few years your lungs will return to normal after you quit smoking. I can believe that is true because your cells are renewing themselves all the time. If you have been out of a smoky environment for a few years I would think your lungs are back to normal. Bests person to ask is your doctor specially if you have any symptoms

And if you're all still with me...What waffle maker do you like? We have 2 small ones we have to use at once, and then it's still a lot of waiting for us all to get waffles. I was excited to see that Cuisinart has a 6 slice one, but there are very mixed reviews of it. We like traditional waffles, as opposed to Belgian, and it seems that most bakers on the market right now are for Belgian. Other question: Coffee maker? We don't drink it often, but when we do we want it to be good...And we have a dear friend who loves a wonderful, rich, strong cup of coffee, and it's important for me to offer him that. (He installed all our carpet and vinyl for free, as well as being a great friend otherwise) I saw that someone on the Appliance forum highly recommended Technivorm, but not sure I'm ready to spend $250 for a coffee maker. On the other hand, considering our Black and Decker has lasted us 24 years, it's not a purchase we'll be expecting to make again soon, and I want it to be a good decision. Still waffling on mixers. I know the two of you above love your Electroluxes, but in the research I've done over the past few years getting ready for this moment, it just never seemed like the best choice for me. I am thinking the Bosch is probably the way I need to go, but am also tempted by the 7 qt Viking, which Acountryfarm uses and loves for her family of 13. I can see that replacing my KA on the place of honor on my baking counter...The Bosch would live in a drawer. Not only is the Viking more attractive (I know that shouldn't be a big deal), but it's the type of mixer we like to use for baking other than bread, so it'd be nice to have one mixer rather than 2. Hmm. Anyway, since we are like-minded on some things, I thought maybe you'd have some thoughts on these things that would help, too. Thanks.
