storing shoes

I get plastic containers that fit shoes and then I take a picture of my shoes.on a pretty fabric under it. I put the pic at the end of the container.
Then I stack them on my shelf in my walk end closet and everyone is so impressed.

I also use the clear plastic boxes, with hinged lid but no need for pic. I can see what's inside, even though stacked 3 high on top of shelf of walk-in..

I use the drill bit that you make a hole for a door knob. I drill a hole (with a block of wood one the inside of the box to make it sturdy for the drill bit) in the end of the plastic shoe box.

This allows me to see the shoes and provides a finger hole to grab the shoe box down from the shelf. You can see the few I started on the left side of the stack of boxes.

I keep mine in a hanging sweater storer. 2 pairs per compartment except sometimes little sandals fit 3. Someone with small feet might fit more.
