Way way way back when, I used to post a lot. I can't believe it, but I still see some names from back then !! Our build got put off because we bought some coastal property and we have to build there before we can build our primary residence here. FINALLY starting coastal build in October !! At any rate, I had a geocities account where I would keep pictures of mudroom lockers and that web address was passed along from member to member for a long time. Then Geocities closed. : ( I have now loaded my collection into photobucket. Not many dimensions, but lots of mudroom locker pictures. We also live in Florida and are trying to build a mudroom to go along a 14 foot wall. We are currently getting quotes from a number of cabinet makers . The reason I asked is because there are some things about painting only learned with experience. The way to load paint on a cut-in brush, for instance. And how much paint to load on a roller. Blending paint on a surface, keeping a wet edge, and eliminating roller lines are all things only practice can teach. Things like those make the difference between a paint job and a professional looking paint job. Is there any kind of finish on the wood now? If so, you will need to scuff all the surfaces with 220 grit sandpaper---not removing any finish, just roughing it. A coat of primer is next and then a coat of paint. This locker will be a really good test of painting ability and will show you many techniques needed to get a nice finished paint job. I favor Purdy brushes---available at home improvement/hardware stores----and the smaller 1" diameter rollers. Those rollers are tapered on each end, which virtually eliminates roller lines. I learned painting techniques from several pro's---these hints I mentioned are ones I use in my remodeling business---no complaints yet about paint jobs.
