Anna , I am with you on this one. I grew up a tomboy running around in the woods .I am certain I would have remembered this outstanding plant. It appears to be a vine with some self control. Which is great ! I just looked at the only two books I have on Florida natives. And I didn`t see it. I use plastic clamshells for a variety of seeds including plumerias. I don't have good results with the paper towel/baggie method. I do like baggies filled with a few inches of moist soil. I keep the bags sealed until they sprout then I keep it held open with a wooden skewer so they don't rot. Once they have a set of true leaves I transplant them. There was someone that made little "boats" out of packing peanuts and floated the seeds in a tray of water. It looked interesting so I decided to try it. Unfortunately I unknowingly used biodegradable packing peanuts. lol I did try again with styrofoam and it worked well but was too much of a hassle for results similar to other methods. I use bottom heat with all methods.

It's been a long time since I've posted pics, but it seems like I had to copy & paste the HTML code & then take off some extra stuff at the beginning. Say, for instance, that it starts %@UI#Ohttp: you'd paste the whole thing in & delete everything before http. & sometimes I have to try every option shown on photobucket before I hit on the right one!
