For tasting dragon's blood! Seriously....sort of. I think it's a "cordial set"...and looks to me like it's been sprayed silver....try a little nail polish remover and see if it removes the silver "paint"....and may be pewter....there are lots of sorts of pewter....some contain lots of lead, some none at all, some lots of tin, some antimony....so it could be something like that. It's...."interesting".... LOL!

Lynn- these are my plans for the 2 tray ceilings for our new house that we will build next year. The dining room will be painted SW Toasty and the tray ceiling will have an antique bronze metallic finish. I want a dark brown border (about 4-5") at the edges and a stencil medallion around the base of the chandelier in the same dark brown. In our master suite, which just happens to be the same color as the dining room, the tray ceiling will be painted Toasty but the border at the edges and around the base of the ceiling fan will be an antique gold/bronze. I am planning on having that faux finish repeated in a couple more areas of the master suite.

We hung a large "bulletin board" in magnetic stainless steel for an angled wall next to our kitchen -- this holds greeting cards, photos, DS' report card, & other memorabilia. Using magnets instead of conventional thumbtacks keeps whatever we're posting from being damaged by pinholes. We put a smaller magnetic marker board in our drop zone for a message center. This holds reminders, coupons, date sensitive items, shopping lists, etc.

hello diane :) thank you for the sweet comment! i know what you mean about not knowing where to put things... i've messed up plenty of collages, and they are lying around in my craft area just staring at me... and i'm thinking how to safe them!! 'dirty roses' are my evolved one-stroke roses (but i must agree with the ladies here about them not being strictly one-stroke anymore) ... and these roses that i paint, i usually end up staining them on purpose to make them a little messy (just a preference)... hence 'dirty roses'... :)
