Susie you are in So Cal and you are from TX. Me too. I fully understand what you are saying. I do not get the mag but I sure grab it in every dr or dentist office that has that or any of the old fashioned type content...and they use great glossy paper.... I have a red boot that I made as a lamp. Only found one at a TS. Went every week...lady was watching for me. Then a few months later, I woke up one am and said I gotta go in this am and get my other boot. And yep there it was sitting on the top of one of the racks...and she handed it to me. I made a birdhouse out of it. Right now they are both stored until I go clean out the storage next month. Will be like going to GW every day, lol. I have several pair of boots that I have in my DD Indian room....well, cowboy and indian room, lol. Later last year I found a little red boot, no partner. Paid for it and they were watching for the other one for me....no luck. But I always see single boots laying around at TSs.

Shysue that is so cute! I've been wanting to plant something similar but I've read that those hens and chicks do better in a shallow type container. Is your boot filled with something like sand or gravel to hold them straight up like that? Last year my hubby planted a petunia in a cowboy boot, but he didn't do it right as the boot kept falling over, and the petunia just didn't look right. Do hens n' chicks do better in full sun or shade? Sorry for all the questions, but I just bought a pair of cute little baby cowboy boots and wanna try planting them myself, maybe I'll have better luck than hubby. Thanks for any comments.

Oakley, the kitchen wallpaper is history. And not a moment too soon. I love a kitchen table in my kitchen, even if it defies all kitchen organization. Yes, if I didn't have animals, I may consider a rug in the kitchen but I like to easily clean. I love braided rugs too and have one upstairs but have more antique persian ones because of family hand me downs. I still have the wallpaper in my living room because I am in tired of trying to decide what I want to do in that room. It's large and overwhelming. DH built the outbuilding. It's technically our well house. It's large enough to make a small Guest house (sans bathroom) and with out MIL coming, we will likely do just that. (I've been studying trailer floor plans for ideas.) It is finished inside but not furnished. We could put in a motel style kitchen but no bathroom. The septic would be too close to our well.

Hummmm, I wonder if I saved any of them. Well, its a trip to the attic to go thru the many boxes of stuff that I've saved.
