Frame from used fence pickets

When we first moved here on the farm, we had a large supply of used fence pickets and decided to see if we could use a few to frame some wall calendar pictures that we liked. DH used the full-size pickets vertically and cut the horizontal pieces to frame 9 of the calendar page pictures. We left the pickets natural and weathered, but they could also be painted and this would work well with matted photos as well.

Looks very nice! Great recycling! Nice color on pickets, gray color would be nice too. TFS Jan

I love it! Where do you have it hanging? I'm thinking it would look good over a headboard.

That's a great recycling job you did! Thanks for sharing. Now if I see fencing, I'll know what to do with it! :)

When we moved into our current home, it didn't really fit in any longer with our decor, so I gave it to a relative. In our former home, we had it hanging in our living room above a buffet, and at one time, above the fireplace mantel.
