| I found the antique mantel behind my couch in the trash - I still can't believe how lucky I was to drive by that old house on trash day!! There it sat leaning against the old washing machine. I hung it over my couch in my family room.

| Beautiful mantel!! Love how you've changed your home! Better than most I've seen professionally done! Your china is so beautiful. Johnson Bros made some wonderful stuff. I a couple of pieces of pink & blue. I've never seen the green before!! It matches my carpet!! |

| What a gorgeous home(!!), and that mantel was a spectacular find. Wish I'd find something like that in the trash. I found a nice table one time, but that's about it so far. I wasn't looking for it, so maybe that's the key! :) Great decorating you've done. I love how you mix and match things. I do the same thing. When I tell people what we've done with certain "trash" finds, they don't seem to understand how well it can look in a home until they see it. They just think it still is trash. But once they see it, they're "wowed" by it. Thanks for sharing your pictures! |
