I have about six milk cans I plan to use. I am going to use mine as a strawberry pot type container, putting holes on the sides of the can for herbs and plants. When putting the dirt in cut a piece of PVC pipe the same height as the can and drill holes in the sides of the pipe. Place in the middle of the can and fill will soil leaving the opening of the pipe exposed. When watering your plants pour the water into the pipe. This allows all of the plants to be watered equally and they won't be washed out trying to water from the sides. Oh, I plant the top opening of the can too. I like the rusted patina and don't paint the can. I also am going to lay some on the side, cutting out part of the side for planting. I have four planned for this project. I'm going to stack them on an old wooden wheelbarrow and again use for herbs and flowers.

You guys know how much I love old rusty things so its going to stay as is of course(-: I also have quite a few milk cans...maybe 10! I love them and when I get a bargin like this I love it more!!! LOL I usually set things on them and put them in areas around the yard. Last summer we re did our chicken pen/barn area and a lot of them went around that. They fit the farming theme(-: 3 dollars... I can't believe it...I almost feel guilty...(-:

Oh wow Annielu...that turned out terrific. I bet they are super pleased with it. You did a great job on that tractor. Look at all the detail. ha I love the barn too. Lettering looks great. Just a wonderful piece. Glad your g-baby is doing better. He is soo cute! I'm flipping back and forth between here and prim-mart if you are wondering. ha I just saw your message there. My 13 yr old has asthma as does her father. Her's isn't too bad. She got it after having viral pneumonia a few years ago. Hope your GS doesn't have it. :) ~Anj
