It is difficult to tell when something comes from the era of macramÃ© hanging baskets. I am so glad that everyone thinks they are a treasure. The colors are so wonderful in person. Cooper, I am sure what the bouquet was from. When she gets back from vacation I will have to be sure to ask about that one. She had live so I know they weren't for her wedding. I really like the box idea, but I am going to have to find a place for it first. I have a couple of shadow boxes of my treasures, like the first roses HE sent me, so my walls are a bit boxed out. Setting them IN a box is a wonderful idea. Thanks, Oakley for that one! They might be hand rolled, but I don't know. There is a roll to it, but not like any made-in-China ribbon I have ever seen. The edges have a thread-like wire in them that the ribbon wraps around. Goody! Goody! I deserve it for the day it took me to sort through those old boxes. : D No other treasures I am afraid.

That sounds like a whole lot of fun! But it doesn't really reduce your "stuff", does it? LOL My guild used to do an auction once a year...people brought in quilty stuff they didn't want any more, and people bid on stuff. It was a fundraiser for the guild. The last year we did it someone brought in a treadle machine in the cabinet and it went for $15! I almost bid on it, then thought DH would have a fit at more furniture in the house. I told him about it afterwards and he scolded me for not getting it! Men. Donna

Hi Sal. I didn't think it would work either, as they have a slight curvature, but they did! I just made sure, when I folded them in half at the start, to really really press/rub the fold line and made that one tight. The vinyl verticals are 84 inches long, I believe.. the stars are packed away... but They are as big or a little bigger than the pillow, and I just measured it at 16"! It took 4 slats to make one star... they are 3D on the back too.. the back looks just like the fornt in this pic...

Wow! Lots of fun ideas here. My GF will love the strainer sunflower, I will have to look for 1. Then it can go in her garden because the sunflower clock I repainted for her garden went in her house she loved it so much she went & got new clock works for it. I think the strainer would be great addition & love the dragonfly on it. We made some of those so now 1 will have a home! Your tin man is so cute, might try that myself! TFS Jan

I came back to look at the tin man. So many of the cans I get now can't be opened on the bottom which I need for making knitting knobbys (my latest "thing"). But I could use them on a tin man!

ty all I am working on alot more things I will post when I get them done I finished up a watering can made from a fabric softner bottle a jello cup and a strip of soda bottle turned out cute

My neighbor has a tin man and I just fell in love with him. I would love to make one. Guess I need to have all my friends that cook start saving some cans for me.
