CD Ornie

I made these for Christmas gifts this year. I spray painted the CD, then decoupaged scrapbooking paper and an image onto it. Embellishments were added and a ribbon to hang it.

What a great idea!
Wouldn't this be nice using pictures of family members, etc!

Would make a great 'memory' tree, having ornament pictures of your kids, as they grow each year.

Thanks for sharing your idea, shysue!

The metal things hanging down are a nice finishing touch! Isn't it fun to find a new use for something!! Jan

I like these!
I can't quite tell what you hung the bells with--
My first thought was some type of paperclips-
am I right?

Nona, your are exactly right. I found some fancy paper clips that worked just fine.

Thanks for sharing. How did you make the holes at the bottom to insert the paper clips?

I made the holes at the bottom of the CD with a Crop-a-Dile. It makes it so much easier than using a drill and it sets eyelets too. They are sold in most craft stores and I think Walmart has them. I got mine at Hobby Lobby with one of their 40% off coupons.

Here is a link that might be useful: Crop-a-Dile
