F&B is expensive.....that's one of the reasons that I chose to try color matching as best as possible before taking the plunge in our forever home. The closest dealer is also a state away. This is my colormatch to Green Blue (mind you it reads brighter than the real deal - especially in the door pic, but if I'm this pleased w/ the so-so colormatch then I KNOW I'd be thrilled w/ the actual F&B). I don't have current pics so excuse the mess & I think on camera it reads a bit on the baby blue side which is not the case IRL. Pic 2 at the top of the pic is the most real representation of what the color looks like all over my DR:

DH is just not going to go for a used sofa again though I dont think. :( So I guess it doesnt matter. pamghatten - love that sofa. Is that a natuzzi? I think I saw one similar from them. The back cushions were attached though, so i had ruled it out. That is what is ripping on my current sofas. The seam in the back attaching the cushions to the sofa. I am hoping to go look next weekend. Not sure I will get a babysitter though yet.

Jinx seeing the chairs alongside the room really helps...and interestingly, although almost everyone has said black would work no one has gone that route in suggestions, which helps too in a way. I have enough of the raw silk on those chairs by the mirror left to do these chairs, and it has a beautiful sheen that can throw off a bit of purple - but I am concerned about durability (see above) and being too matchy-matchy. I am surprised I also really do like the lighter white look when I see it next to the room, and totally forgot but am finally getting real grown up white silk drapes that will frame out those windows properly instead of sitting inside them - so maybe it would be better to coordinate with those? The fabric is a very subtle cream silk tone-on-tone stripe, but I could match the color with a more durable fabric. This is so much help- thank you all again for your time and suggestions here! I do have one more random question, only because you guys are familiar with the space. I have an old, wooden phone booth that belonged to my dad (he worked for Bell South for 30 years). It it VERY sentimental, it has traveled all over the country with me, and it is going in this space somewhere. It only fits in two places. I had intended to put it where that mermaid picture is, but then I bought that crazy huge carved Mexican bookcase. Is it going to make the room too heavy on that side to have two big, blocky pieces of furniture there? The only other place I have for it is in the entry, which means it would be the first thing you saw when you walked in the room.

I would try to find photos of nature that have the roof color and see what other colors in the photo make it look complete. Google nature images for different foliage you like. I like shades of green with lots of cream like green and white hydrangeas. A lot of those photos have some pink blooms in them. Or blue spruce with light neutrals like cream and beige tones, maybe with lilac highlights. I would keep most of the house light neutrals, maybe multiple neutral tones, and decorate it with brightly colored flowers and more greenery.
