Allison, thank you so much for that link. I love, love, love roughlinen.com and it gave me some good inspiration. I am really looking forward to working on this room. (BTW...I remember you, of course, from our anxiety-filled kitchen redo days in '04-'05. Your kitchen is one of my faves. I just finished my second kitchen since then. This time it was a new home. Me and kitchens...It's still a love-hate relationship) ;) Natesgram, you'll have to give me until at least next weekend for pictures, since I won't be home until then. I need to correct myself. I shouldn't say I'm almost finished with the headboard. Really, to be more clear, I'm almost finished GATHERING the pieces I want. I've made a few driftwood-esque and aged pieces on my own that came out pretty good, but I'm aiming to make most of it from natural things we find. It sure does take a long time for driftwood to wash up. Could y'all start throwing pieces of wood into the Atlantic when the tide is right to have it wash up on our property, please? ;) I will post updates as I go along, but it's definitely a sloow moving project

Million thanks, y'all. Worked on an art girl today and almost finished it but had to shop for one last item - a lock for her handbag. Found a fantabulous WW II round one. Too tired to work anymore on it today. I DID put it in my album under gifts, if y'all are interested. Needs tweaking a bit. All scrounged objects from my garage - door panel, rusty tin for the skirt, rusty big tacks in corners from Mexico hardware store, homemade doll face from a mould and concrete patch, arms from a metal piece from a magnifying mirror, crown is a little broken hand rake head, wooden heart for body, legs from a $ Store porcelain doll, boobs from links of a belt, bed spring at bottom off the street in Mexico etc. Sorry for the long post.

Well I'll be danged. Who would have thought that modest little wooden pedestal we found in that dinky little TX town over a year ago would turn out so colorful and pretty. Nothing shabby about that, ROSIE, but it surely is chicy chic/. The molding is a very nice touch. Great way to avoid the grout issue at the corners.

Totally agree with Toomuch. Go back to Lurkdom if you can't say anything nice, realtor person. You started bashing us before even introducing yourself and seeing if you would receive a warm welcome. Which, you did, by the way get a warm welcome even after you accused us here of being clique-ish. Ridiculous. I think you owe everyone here an apology, especially Nicethyme. That is, if you have the nerve to post again. AND, did anyone notice that this realtor person registered with GW the same day he/she told everyone off? Are you kidding me with this?! P.S.
