Have any of you used Copal Painting Medium? I have always used linseed oil and turp in my paints, but I bought some of this medium yesterday. The one I bought is made by Grumbacher. I have a friend that swears by it. I haven't tried it yet since I'm in the middle of a painting, but I'll use it next week when I start a new one.
Hope I like it. It was $6.00 for 2.5 ounces.

| I haven't used it. Let me know what you think of it. I use turp in the underpainting and linseed oil (or linseed oil and turp mixed) in the top layers. Rhonda |

I've always used the turp and linseed oil as you do too, Rhonda. I haven't tried the bottle of Copal yet. I'm running behind on the painting that I'm doing now, but I'll let you know how I like the Copal when I use it. Lu |

Haven't tried it YET. We've been on a trip and getting ready to go on another one and I have this swamp scene that I wanted to finish.... still not quite finished. I will finish it when we return. I have four commissioned paintings to do for January so I'm sure that the bottle of Copal will be opened and used! These are four paintings that I HAVE to do! LOL
