I am planning to paint a backsplash mural or some small paint project

Has anyone tried this before and pictures or ideas or more importantly any tips please?

Hi Crystalgeorgia, Welcome to the Painting forum. Can you tell us what type of material you will be painting on for the backsplash? And do you have a "theme" or specific style you are going for? There are specialty paints that you can use for longer durability on most surfaces. Give us a little more detail if possible, and we'll try to give some suggestions, okay?
