Stripes Using Glaze??

Posted by enjayare (My Page) on

I was thinking of just painting glaze in stripes over existing paint. Do you think there will be enough contrast or texture to see the stripes? Or will it be TOO TOO subtle?

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks

I love subtle and think it would look wonderful. A friend had an entry that was painted flat antique white. With many grandchildren she was always washing the wall. Then she got a satin antique white and sponged it on. It is wonderful and looks textured. Best of all no handprints show.

I think it depends if you are in a well lit area - if you get alot of natural light in that area, i think it would look great. You may not see the contrast very much in a dimly lit area. Try it anyway! Go for it!

Yep, love the effect. See in this link my red wall. I used satin and egghell. Then I did the silver freehand. Andrea
