To Early to Garden, So Enhance It!

To many of my friends DO NOT garden, but they enjoy walking around my gardens just to see the little plaques and signs that I've tucked in here & there. Keeping them nice & fresh has become my winter craft project and I also found this site for more "sayings" and inspiration!

A couple of mine:
"If the world hands you lemons, pass the tequila & salt!"
"Walk softly, Fairies at work"
"Don't p___ off the Fairies"
Want to share some of yours!?! |

| I especially like the one that says "God made rainy days so the housework would get done." One of my all time favorite sayings is something I saw on a greeting card - "The Secret to Life is Enjoying the Passage of Time" - I just think that is so beautifully worded and as I get older (with grace of course LOL), those words become more and more true. | Well, I am a gardener and I made this sign: "Housework makes you ugly; gardening makes you beautiful". |

Oooh, there are lots of good ones. The signs I have on my long list of things-to-paint are: "Weeds Happen", "Garden of Weedin" (If you saw my gardening skills you wouldn't ask!ha), "Bloom, dang it!" and "Bless My Bloomers!". Some of the garden sayings I like though are: You can bury a lot of problems digging in the dirt. I planted a rock garden and 3 of them died. Weeds..All you can pick...FREE! Bloom where you are planted. Leave room in your garden for angels to dance. This is a fun thread. Can't wait to see everyone else's favorites. |

| LOL, I really liked Calpat's "If life hands you lemons, pass the tequila and salt. One of my painting magazines had the cutest apron with a glass and the "worm" --that pattern would work well with Calpat's saying! ;o) Some of mine are: One is closer to God's heart in a garden Gardener's dig all the dirt Life's "buzzin" in my garden Garden Goddess Weed Warrior Water the seeds--not the weeds I know there are more, but I can't think of them now, of course. |

I had some pieces of tile left over and tried this method with permanent marker pens.
It didn't work to well as the first bit of moisture wiped them out even with a sealer. Redid them and resealed with a different type of sealer. Not convinced the permanent markers work that well for outdoor projects. I'm going to try it with acrylic paints w/sealer too. |
