Wow CG...that is gorgeous. Wish we could see a closer view, but I love it. I think I told you before that I have a long 2-man saw that I want to paint one day. Did you use a pattern or did you just do it yourself? I think the next time I'm down in MS I'll take some shots of my g-mas place and a few other favorite spots so I can have them for reference when I paint mine. Your FIL will love it! ~Anj

Anj I just did this from a picture I saw. Then between the computer and just postioning each thing I came up with a pattern. I very rarely paint freehand.
The idea of you taking pictures of your g-mas place sound wonderful!! I'm sure it would look beautiful on that saw.

Colorgal, I'm so happy that you are posting as well as commenting. I would love to see your saw up close also. The colors are so bright and it looks great. I love old buildings and landscapes. Hope you continue to be a part of this forum and post. I love it. I've only painted one old saw and never took a picture so I don't have to show my first attempt. LOL I painted the four seasons blended along the blade.

Beautiful saw! And anything anyone does without a pattern is beyond me! And I like the clear, clean colors...feels like you could walk right into the field.
